Register to Audition

The ideal time to apply for our Caritas (entry-level) choir is in January to May of grade 1 with a view to starting in September as a grade 2 student (must be age 7 before December 31). However, we may have vacancies at later stages and have accepted new singers of all ages up to 13 directly into the Cantate (concert) choir. 

Applications for the senior treble Ensemble are being accepted now for students currently in grade 8 and up.

Auditions for all of the VCC choirs are held in May and June to confirm places for the following season. Auditions also take place throughout the year, although as the Choir may reach maximum size during spring auditions, we encourage booking audition times early to avoid disappointment.

The first step is to apply to audition to arrange a time for each potential chorister to come and sing informally to Conductor Rupert Lang. This takes about 15 minutes, and all that’s needed is to come with a song to sing, which can be very simple (for example, ‘O Canada’). We look forward to meeting you!
